The Government of the Republic of The Gambia has received Grant financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost for the development of a Climate Resilient-Integrated Transport Master Plan (CR-ITMP) 2025-2050 and intends to apply part of the grant to eligible payments under the contract for Consultancy Services.
The Government of Gambia (GoTG) and the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) conceived the Banjul Port 4th Expansion Project in a bid to improve trade flows for The Gambia by increasing port efficiency, modernizing, and expanding port facilities, digitalization strategy for streamlined operations, and implementation of a maintenance strategy and tariff adjustments to optimize revenue generation.
The overall objective of the assignment is to develop a Climate Resilient Integrated Transport Masterplan (CR-ITMP), on the basis of a Corridor Approach. The Integrated Transport Master Plan will take account of;
a) The priorities for investment identified in Rf-NDP 2023-2027 for the roads, river, air, rail, and maritime transport sub-sectors, including other strategic priorities b) The need to maintain the infrastructure assets in all the sub sectors meeting the above priorities; and c) Resources likely to be available from the Government, private sector and development partners and any other sources annually over the next 25 years, and in aggregate until 2050. The assignment is to be carried out over a period of twelve
(12) months.
The Ministry of Transport, Works & Infrastructure (MoTWI) now invites eligible consultants (firms) indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualifying.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy and Methodology for Bank Group Funded Operations” (BPM), dated October 2015″, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. The MoTWI is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.

Interested consultants have the option to submit their EOIs in PDF format by email.
